POKHARA, GHANDRUK TOUR
Description
Ghandruk is a traditional Gurung village in Kaski Gandaki Province. It is home to a Gurung museum and has one of the best views of Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre. There is also a trek from Ghorekhani to Ghandruk that can also be done in one day. The trek tunnels through an incredible rhododendron forest.
Ghandruk, being only 4-5 hours’ drive from Pokhara, makes the place a great weekend break amidst the mountains. One could also start the Annapurna trek from the Annapurna region in Ghandruk. Some of the other popular trekking trails include Mardi Himal Base camp, Landruk, Tadapani and Kimche. There is also a traditional Gurung museum that you can visit and a marketplace called Seuli Bazar where you can buy local goods and groceries.
Access and accommodation: It takes approximately 1h 35m to drive 54.8 km from Pokhara to Ghandruk. There are hotels and loges in several places in Ghandruk.
Itinerary
- Early in the morning, after breakfast your tour start drive to Pokhara Today you will drive to Pokhara through Prithibi Highway, during the driving time, you will explore beautiful villages, white water rafting rivers, beautiful landscapes, and agriculture fields.
- Three hours of road driving will bring you to an amazing place from where you can see. After 3 hrs of driving, you will reach Ghandruk Village. Ghandruk village belongs to the Kaski district, Gandaki province of Nepal, and is 2012 m from sea level, 32 km drive from Pokhara. Ghandruk Village is the gateway to Annapurna Base Camp and Ghorepani Poonhill Trek.
- Wake up early in the morning and look from your window you will see gorgeous Mt Fishtail, Annapurna South, and Himchuli. You will enjoy the view with warm tea coffee, and breakfast.
- After breakfast back to kathmandu some place visit and explore on the way and ouur vehicle droup your pickuup location.
